Our Nurse Practitioners

Mark Figueroa
APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC
Nurse Practitioner
He / Him / His
Mark became a nurse practitioner to provide medical and psychiatric care to the people who need it most and too often go without it. That includes people who are vulnerable, underserved, or have felt overlooked by the healthcare system. He believes every person deserves to be heard without judgment, treated with dignity, and offered real options for feeling better, no matter their background or where they're starting from. Today, he brings that same commitment to patients exploring ketamine treatment, caring for the whole person, not just a diagnosis.
Mark treats depression, anxiety, and mood disorders, including those that haven't improved with other treatments. He welcomes people of every background, culture, and identity. His care is grounded in supportive, patient-centered therapy. He listens first and works to understand your story and what matters most to you. He explains your options in plain language and builds a plan with you rather than for you. You can expect a provider who is warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative, and who treats you as a true partner in your care.
Mark focuses on these areas because he has seen mental health concerns at every level of severity, from outpatient visits to hospital stays. He has seen how deeply they can affect sleep, relationships, work, and physical health. He has also seen how much can change when someone finally gets the right support. His training as a family nurse practitioner adds another layer: he understands how physical health, medications, and mood affect one another. That matters in ketamine treatment, because safe care means looking after both body and mind.
Mark has cared for patients from diverse backgrounds in settings ranging from health centers to private practice. He has worked in inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs (PHP/IOP). Having worked across so many levels of care, he understands what many patients have been through before they arrive and what it takes to help them move forward.

Eleni Koudanis
MSN, PMHNP-BC
Nurse Practitioner
She / Her / Hers
Eleni became a psychiatric mental health provider because she believes patients deserve care that is both clinically thoughtful and genuinely individualized. She is passionate about helping people who may have struggled to find relief through traditional treatment approaches and creating an environment where patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their care.
Her approach combines evidence-based psychiatric treatment with compassion, education, and collaboration.
Eleni specializes in the evaluation and treatment of adults experiencing depression, treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, ADHD, and substance use disorders.
She has a particular interest in interventional psychiatry, including Spravato® (esketamine) and ketamine-based treatment, as well as psychopharmacology and the treatment of complex or persistent psychiatric symptoms.
Her work across multiple areas of behavioral health has given her experience caring for patients at different stages of their mental health and recovery journeys. She is especially passionate about helping individuals who have not achieved adequate symptom relief with previous treatments explore evidence-based alternatives and develop a treatment plan tailored to their needs.
Eleni is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with experience in outpatient psychiatry, interventional psychiatry, substance use treatment, medication-assisted treatment, and behavioral health care.
Her clinical experience includes psychiatric assessment and diagnosis, psychopharmacology, Spravato® treatment, ketamine-based therapies, and the management of co-occurring psychiatric and substance use conditions.
She brings a collaborative and patient-centered approach to treatment, with an emphasis on clinical excellence, patient education, and helping individuals make informed decisions about their mental health care.

Beth Cabral
RN, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Nurse Practitioner
She / Her / Hers
Beth Cabral is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with a longstanding passion for mental health and helping people navigate mental health challenges. Her interest in the field began before becoming a nurse, and although she spent her nursing career working in emergency medicine, she never lost her passion for mental health care.
Beth became a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner because she wanted to help people feel supported and empowered in their mental health journeys. She believes in normalizing conversations about mental health and creating a space where people feel comfortable talking openly about their experiences.
Beth particularly enjoys working with teenagers and young adults and helping them develop healthy coping strategies, build confidence, navigate relationships, and work toward their goals.
Outside of work, Beth is married and has four grown children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and attending music concerts.

Lauren Carnes
PMHNP-BC
Nurse Practitioner
She / Her
I've always been drawn to understanding what helps people heal, grow, and find their way back to themselves. One of the most meaningful parts of being a provider is helping someone see beyond what they're struggling with and recognize the strengths and possibilities they may not see in themselves.
For me, being a provider is about so much more than treating a diagnosis. It's about getting to know the person behind it, understanding their experiences, and helping them feel empowered to take an active role in their own healing journey.
My approach combines evidence-based psychopharmacology with a holistic understanding of mental health. I've always been fascinated by the connection between the mind and body, particularly how our emotional experiences, nervous system, immune system, and physical health influence one another.
My interests in neuroimmunology and the mind-body connection have deepened my appreciation for how interconnected our mental and physical well-being truly are. I believe it's important to look beyond symptoms and consider the whole person, recognizing that everyone's experiences, challenges, and path toward healing are unique.
Through thoughtful medication management, education, and a collaborative approach to care, my goal is to create a space where people feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported.
I believe healing is more than the absence of symptoms. It's about helping people reconnect with themselves, recognize their own strengths, and discover the possibility of living with greater balance, purpose, and joy.
Above all, my hope is to help people move beyond simply managing symptoms and toward feeling more connected to themselves and the life they want to live. I believe meaningful change is possible, and that everyone deserves to feel supported and empowered as they discover what healing looks like for them.
